CPT Madelyn Filla


CPT Madelyn Filla was born in Little Rock, AR but grew up in Tyler, Tx.

CPT Filla commissioned out of the Ouachita Baptist University ROTC program in May 2022. She attended Field Artillery BOLC in July of the same year, after spending time as Second Lieutenant Cadre at CST. Upon graduating BOLC, CPT Filla moved to Colorado Springs and was assigned to 2-12 Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson CO. There, she served as the assistant battalion S3, 2-1 Cavalry Squadron Eagle Troop Fire Support Officer, and brigade Fire Control Officer. She resides in Los Angeles and is the HRA for the UCLA. She is currently in the process of separating from the Active Duty Army, and will reclass into the Army Reserves as a Civil Affairs officer.

CPT Filla possesses a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Ouachita Baptist University. CPT Filla’s military education includes Field Artillery Basic Officer’s Leadership Course, Unit Movement Officer course, Air Load Planning course, Combatives Basic Training- Level I, and the Human Resources Assistant Course.

CPT Filla awards include two Army Achievement Medals, and an Army Commendation Medal.
