Miguel Ordaz

Miguel A. Ordaz is a former United States Army Staff Sergeant with over 13 years of honorable military service in both the Army Reserve and Active Duty. Throughout his career, he served as both an Infantryman (11B) and an Automated Logistical Specialist (92A), gaining extensive experience in tactical operations, logistics management, supply accountability, and leadership.

During his military career, Mr. Ordaz completed assignments that emphasized tactical proficiency, small-unit leadership, and combat readiness. His assignments included service at Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he supported the Department of Defense detention mission. He also served overseas in Poland in support of NATO operations and earned numerous military awards and decorations, including the Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal (5th Award), Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2nd Award), and the Expert Infantryman Badge.

As a Military Science Instructor, Mr. Ordaz is committed to developing the next generation of Army officers by instilling the Army Values, fostering leadership under pressure, and preparing cadets to lead with competence, confidence, and character. Drawing from real-world operational experience, he emphasizes disciplined decision-making, teamwork, physical fitness, and tactical excellence while mentoring future leaders for success both in ROTC and throughout their Army careers.
